Distraction

I bought the mat so I could exercise on the wood floor. Kenny thinks it is his. I guess it's one way to distract him from putting toys on me while doing sit-ups.

New Shoes

We put shoes on Kenny for the first time. He cried and tried to take them off.
The girls took him out to the rocks to show him how great walking was going to be. He wasn't impressed. At least for the first hour of church he stayed still.

Found it!

Kenny found the last Easter egg- it still had plastic wrap on it.

Even without the suit he still has the moves.

Happy baby.

Patrick is looking so good.

Take your child to work day

Megan learns what the mystic of what Mom does during the day? Or she's just doing the dishes.

Feel the music

Beginning Band had their yearly concert tonight. Patrick thought it was neat to play with so many people. He usually meets with 10 students on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the elementary school.
Kenny helps Kelly sweep under the couch.
Megan was singing a German song she is learning in choir. It was noisy (who knew) in the family room area and I asked her if she was singing in Whale, like in the Finding Nemo movie. She then started giving a whale of a concert.

Kenny gets his just desserts

Big kids torment Kenny.
Adam cleans the microwave- his favorite pick a job.
Kelly finds out how the new faucet tip saves 2 gallons a day- the water hardly comes out.
It's supposed to be 80 degrees on Thursday, before the next storm comes through on Saturday.
Kenny bites each granola bar looking for the best one.

Kenneth the Menace

He has been one busy boy all day today. I couldn't wait until bed time!

The Earth Box

It's too cold outside to garden, so Mike gardens in the living room. The kids are not allowed to eat in the pretty room but what's a little dirt amongst the couches?

Seven little snow babies

The twig haired ones are the girls.
Megan, Kelly and Mary create snow babies in the front yard.

April Snow Showers

The girls said it was their turn to shovel the driveway and the walks.

Like, totally cool

It was 80's day at the middle school. Megan searched my year books last night looking at all the styles- claw hook bangs, banana clip, and lots of teasing. (Not just hair.) Apparently, in my eighth grade year book I wrote all sorts of stuff by cute boys and not so cute boys. Jon and Meg laughed and laughed. Cute leggings there Meg.

Mother Goose on the Loose

Adam is a real dish.

Super Why

Every afternoon around three o'clock, Kenny lays down on the couch and drinks his bottle and watches cartoons. I call this his cartoon bottle.

Not one peep left

Kenny starts his candid career before Mike takes the camera away.
Mary insists that she needs at least two eggs for breakfast with a side of toast and jam.

Kenny found out if you eat your candy in your Easter bucket nobody tells you to stop. Hey! Are those my peeps? Kenny!

Not so blue

It is the way his hand covers his mouth while he eats, he looks like Cookie Monster! And the sisters- Meg and Kelly think he's Sesame Street cute.

Auto show

Notice how Mike can get his two cars in the garage, but he's sure that the Minivan will not fit. Hmmmm.

Oh, I'm missing the point- the garage is clean enough to even get something in there. That is impressive.

Napoleon Dynamite

Little Jack Horner

If you're hitting brothers and sisters with your pillow- it has to stand (sit, lay, complain) in the corner too.

Not the red light, it's the red carpet

Even though today isn't one of Adam's school days, he was happy to go and get his award. He wondered if he should bring his backpack and a snack. I didn't think we would need either for the assembly.

Adam received a good citizenship award. I got tired chasing Kenny. Probably the low point was when Kelly's teacher carried him away from this spot and brought him to me in the back of the gym. At that point I had to try to cage him next to me. He's just making a name for himself 4 years before he becomes a kindergartner.

A little too much twine

How many things are we going to attach strings to so we can find them? Here Mike is twining the DVD cases to the bookcase after he had to look around the house for his exercise video.

Where are you Kenny? Let me follow the string.
I can't seem to find the measuring cups- oh they're tethered to the mixer!

Let's have a picnic

Kelly and Adam dine outside, who cares that it was 50 degrees. (Monday night)

The thing on the string

My mom is the oldest of 7 children, she said that her dad was so sick of losing his comb that he chained it to the sink. We can never find the TV remote- someone is always putting under the couch, in the bathroom, under the cushions- so Mike put it on a string.

Pajama time

Mary checks the weather before she goes to bed.
