This is the story of my family. I have 7 children ranging from 18 to 5 years old. What adventures we have.

Ken and Wendy's
Kenny's new skill: he's learning to suck the chocolate Frosty through a straw. Most prefer the spoon method, but sometimes a special kid comes along that wants to try the vacuum approach. We are so proud.

Another Snow Day
Jonathan and Patrick shovel the snow. Notice Jon is getting another wear out of his Klondike stuff!
Kenny and Mary are on the step stools and Mary is not smiling about it.
Kenny curls up in my pink robe waiting for someone to pull him around on it.
We rented a Rug Doctor to clean the couches and the stairs. The attachment on my hoover rug cleaner doesn't work so I broke down and paid the money. If I had any aspirations to do all the carpets upstairs, they were dashed because it was a lot of work to do all the couches. I was so tired I even skipped some pillows because they weren't that bad.
I don't know what that weird/gross thing is (black flowery thing)- some sort of veggie? It was on my kitchen floor in a corner. Maybe one of those lucky charms got wet and sprouted. I just threw it away anyway. Yuck.
School was cancelled again on Friday. So we watched the movies I got from the library on Thursday morning before the blizzard. We played Harry Potter Clue and ate some cinnamon rolls. The snow was mostly melted by 4 pm so some of the kids went to their friends houses. On to Spring Break!

Spring Snow Day
It's weird to look out the window at 6:30 am and there is 3 inches of snow in the lawns but no where else and school has been cancelled. By one o'clock the roads were awful and visibility was not even a 1/2 block. (good call)
This picture is before the Blizzard white out made it impossible to see out the clean new wonderful window.

We played six rounds of Mexican Train this afternoon. Megan won the game, but all had fun. (Except for Kenny who wanted to eat the plastic train markers.) I bought the domino set at 8 am at Wal-Mart while the storm hadn't showed up yet. Oh I also stocked up on the weight watcher friendly chips, donuts and Milano cookies- our food storage seems a little lacking in this area hmmmmm.

Hands down, the cutest!
Last night was 8 year old girl's recognition night. Kelly was so happy to play games like find your mom's hand, guess the daughters hand, and my favorite, the girls were asked to write down their mom's favorite food, movie, vacation and band. Kelly said that mine were:
1. Stir fry (which I apparently cook way too often)
2. The Romance Collection of A&E movies
3. Hawaii
4. and ?.
My answers (if anyone cares or wants to check against Kelly's) are:
1. Salmon (Kelly needs to read the blog more, what do we eat for all special occasions?).
2. Sense and Sensibility (with Emma Thompson- the crying at the end, "You're not married!" gets me every time)
3. Mexico. I so want to take the Book of Mormon tour of the ancient American pyramids!
4. Journey- Faithfully..sigh
We then stood up and told cool things about our daughters. It was a great night to spend with my sweet daughter.

Yellow Brick Road
Megan was the head set designer for OZ (the play). The play was on Friday and Saturday. She is in the front row in the black cap and black fashion clothing- all ready to stealthily move stuff on and off stage. She said she liked being an actress but was glad not to have to give up all milk products 3 weeks before the show (so your voice is very clear).

Ken has the grill skill
Mike worked at Wendy's when he was a teenager. Today we were making hamburgers for lunch when he told me to stop telling him how to cook them because he has the "grill skill". This was a training video for the restaurant in the 80's. After lunch, we were watching a youtube of grill skill, when Kenny showed us he has the moves.

Mike's Birthday
Adam gets to the car after school crying and holding his head. Patrick told me Adam ran into a pole on their way to the car. A teacher said that we could take him to the nurse, but I opted not to walk all 5 of the children into the school (crying hurt boy, baby only in a shirt and diaper and Mary not in shoes, me not showered) and to drive home and put ice on it and watch him for signs of head trauma. Within a half hour of ice, Spiderman movie and his blanket he wanted to get up and play.

Another day, more laundry
Adam and his trusty blanket, don't get too close he hasn't let me wash it in weeks.
It doesn't put itself away- that's the problem with laundry.
