This is the story of my family. I have 7 children ranging from 18 to 5 years old. What adventures we have.

Once in a blue moon
The last day of 2009. It was a great year. The only sad thing is that the children are all another year older and closer to being all grown up and the great thing is that they are all another year older...

Home sweet home
Every year for Mike and my anniversary my parents take the children on the 26th and let us have a few days, together, alone. Mike picked them up a few hours ago and they had a great time with the grandparents but there is no place like home.
When Mike got to Nana's to pick up the kids, Kenny began crying because he missed his dad. When Jon carried Ken in the house he clung to me and he wouldn't let me put him down until he decided we had enough cuddling. He seemed happy to be in his crib.
Megan secluded in her room watching Emma.
Kelly with an ipod movie.
Wizards' 101, 102, and 103.

The burp gave it away
It was Christmas evening, all was winding down. Jon had set up his iHome to Journey's greatest hits in the living room. I was getting something from the kitchen when I heard Mike say, "Who spilled the pop all over the couch?" I came running to see what was on my white sofa. As I entered the room the culprit, Kenny Ammon, let out the biggest belch I'd ever heard.
Luckily it soaked up with a towel and did not leave a pink Diet Dr. Pepper stain.

Merry Christmas
Mary's new doll needed a doctor. Adam makes house calls.
Kelly and I share and dance to her purple ipod.
Patrick and his new socks *let's give them a moment*.
Mary and Kenny have a moment of playing nicely.
Kenny wants to try the balance board, even though it's Jon's turn.
Stinkerbell

Megan redecorates the doll house.
Eight o'clock was pretty reasonable time to start breakfast and the festivities.
My parents came for breakfast and present opening. Later, the Malm parents came for tacos and burritos at two. We just played with assorted presents and just relaxed.

Brother Ken
He's sleeping right now, but around 2:30 am he will get up from his crib and crawl into bed with Mary or Kelly or me. A couple of times I've taken him back to his crib and locked him in. After those nights Kelly said he'd started slipping under the covers with her- and she's on the top bunk. He likes to lay in the middle of the pillow and throws his arms around, so I find him a nuisance. He's really annoying when he wakes up around 6:30 am, he likes to jump on the bed and likes to go through the stuff on the bed tables and sometimes takes it (Mike's work badge) or chews up my gum and spits it in the hall. Luckily we really like him.

It's all fun and games
After Kenny went to bed, we brought out the Harry Potter Clue game, Diddy Kong Racing, popcorn, cookies and some m&m's and had a party.Jon received the Nintendo as a potty training treat in 1997. The gifts have really gone down in value since then. I think Mary received some stickers.
Mike kept getting the "Dark Mark" card, evil that one.

Ward Family Christmas Party
I did not feel well today but Mike took the children to: Christmas around the world, or around the church building. The passport sent them to Germany to make gingerbread houses, then to the Mexico to have chips and salsa and on to the United States of America to sit on Santa's lap and get homemade stocking hats (Mike thought the room should have looked like the mall to fit with the theme.) There was a Britain room but they did not make it there before dinner. After dinner, the Primary children capped the night off with the song, "Children holding hands around the world."

Jingle Wreath
We have this wreath that I hang by the front door that plays really loud Christmas tunes when you walk by the sensor. It makes me laugh to scare unsuspecting visitors and the UPS man. Kenny found out tonight if he turns the outside light off and on it makes the wreath sing. I'm sure the neighbors are in the Christmas mood now.

Harry Potter?
Adam's cupboard is underneath the linen/storage closet. He exiled himself into the hall the day I put Kenny's crib in his room (18 months ago). He says Kenny keeps him awake. At least with his new bedding spot I don't trip on him when I walk down the dark hall at night and he has the light scent of cedar. Goodnight Adam.

Christmas Home Evening
We trimmed the tree, ate some ice cream and sang, "Once there was a Snowman". Our family carols this year will be Peace on Earth and Good will towards Ken, Rocking around the baby-gated tree, and Not so Silent of a Night. It's going to be a long 10 days till Christmas.
What carols will you be singing this season?

Not Santa on the rooftop
The weather got above freezing today so it was change the roof day. At 8 am sharp the scraping of the old roof began. I packed up 7 children and took them to my mom and dad's house. As sunset came the roof was done. It was too dark to know what it looks like but as Mary sings, "Tomorrow, tomorrow, the sun will come out!"

Zero!
Kenny is always busy lately. Everyone tries to keep an eye on him or he gets into stuff. I asked him this morning if he needed a new diaper and he told me, "no, no, no." The older kids had him saying Zero over and over for some reason and they got him to yell, "Amen" when the missionaries were over for dinner.
