I forgot to put Kenny down for a nap, he nested in Mary's blankets in the family room and put himself down.

The only movies that Kenny wants to watch this week are Toy Story and Toy Story 2. I told Kenny we were going on a bike ride and he went and grabbed Woody. Too cute.

Apparently my children's Hostess/Little Debbies education is limited. Megan was making lunches tonight and called a cupcake a dingdong. I told her she was wrong and Jon told me I was the wrong one. I tried to bring in Mike to my side, but Jon and Meg told me I was contaminating the jury. So here is the internet backing my side.

The seven straw sipper capri sun. Megan reported that none of the other drinks in the box were missing their straw. Strange, but true.

Mary asked if I could buy her some paints. I indulged, because the RoseArt water paints are on sale for 50 cents each and a couple of large coloring books. I stipulated that the painting must be done in the back yard.

Uncle Jim and Aunt Chrystal took the top 6 to Idaho Springs to tour a gold mine and then pan for gold. Dotesy had to come home because she got ill on the way there. Uncle Chris found some flakes and Patrick struck gold dust. Jonathan said that gold panning is reminisant of fishing- it takes patience. Megan said, "Slow and disappointing." Although sad they didn't strike the big one, they still enjoyed hanging out with the cousins and playing in the water.

Kenny started and ended his day with temper tantrums. In the middle he found ice cream bars to smear on the wall, cupboards to climb on and Lincoln Logs houses (Mary's creation) to tear down.

CTR 4 party

Catherine and I teach the 4 and 5 year-old Primary class. We had a class party on Wednesday with water guns and a slip n slide. Nothing like squirting Sister Malm with a squirt gun for all the times she has told you to fold your arms! It was so cute to see our class playing and running (but not in the church hall).

Her side: pajamas, water, movie, and credit cards. Technology: the lamp a phone and a clock?

His: bike helmet with lights all plugged into a power strip. Battery chargers, laptop cords, phones, ipods, itouch, water glasses and a lamp.

Check-in

Seeing spots? Megan decorated her locker today at 8th grade check-in. The teacher handing out the lockers was surprised when Megan requested a bottom locker. He said that a bottom locker was the only request that he would grant.

Rice noodle stir fry with peanut sauce and Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff with braised bee . Both were super good although I didn't remember all the cabbage in the rice noodle with peanut sauce.

At Mike's work station, Adam kept saying, "Let's meet everyone."
They wanted to go in the turn-style type door but if you keep going around it tells you that there has been a security breech.
