New Years Eve

The high temperature of the day was 10 degrees. Kenny wanted to go outside anyway.

Merry Christmas

We had a great day celebrating Christmas. New biking glasses are awesome and so non-nerdy.

Snuggie up

Everyone at my brother Jim's house received a monogrammed Snuggie. We were so warm. I like to wear mine backwards so it billows when I walk.

Giant footwear

I love pink Crocs, but this might be too much of a good thing.

Falconaires

Megan loves to sing. She had a concert with her choir tonight. I liked that they sang a medley of Christmas songs from my childhood: walking in a winter wonder land, sleigh bells, Let it snow. When I was a child we would learn all these songs and have a performance in December: now a days the schools seem afraid of anything that might say Christmas so I've heard Celebrate Kwanza and Driedel at more concerts than I could count. One time they sang a song about Fruit cake, oh the classics.

Deserted Dinner

We're all sitting at the table eating dinner and Kenny left without touching his dinner. We found him in kitchen eating the dessert cookies.

What's in your basket?

Oh Kenny. I was getting ready to take the older children to a Young Men/Young Women's fireside and Kenny comes trucking into the room. I smell a weird smell and notice he has some substance on his hands... after deciphering he had gotten into Window cleaner I called the Poison Control Center.. after much washing and getting him to drink he was fine. Me- upset and hair turning grey.

Play

The Saturday afternoon show: Adam and Mary were ready to see super heroes and villians.
The kids didn't recognize Megan because her hair was straightened.
Patrick is in^ the middle.

Megan was "Artist 3" in the middle school's production of "The Comic Book Artist." Patrick was the prop master. We all went to see the play this weekend.

Kitchen helper

If there is a pot on the stove Kenny is there to stir- wanted or not.

3 stories

We went to Monkey Bizness for story time today. It gave Kenny a chance to run out his energy for a little bit. I knew it was time to go when other mothers were complaining that Kenny was being dangerous on the different climbing things. (He was being dangerous jumping across the slide and stopping at the bottom so other kids ran into each other.)

Present

Mike bought me an ottoman/coffee table for Christmas. Mike put it together last night while everyone was sleeping. This morning Kenny discovered it and he removed all the handles and hid them. After finding them, Jon screwed them in super tight.

Off to church

So, I put Kenny in a t-shirt for church. I covertly covered it up with a sweater. Kenny would not leave that sweater on for anything. So chick magnet t-shirt it is. I hope everyone felt polarized.

The dark side of Patrick

Patrick put together his "costume" for the play. He is on the prop crew and will have to wear all black.

Kelly sings

Kelly is in the 4th grade and this is her second year to be in the school choir. Tonight was the concert, she sang and danced great. The down-side of having so many children though, is that I've heard all of the songs performed when Megan and Patrick were in the elementary school choir. By the time Mary gets to be in the choir I think she will know all the songs on the first day.
