Awesome

Kelly took second place on beam! This was her first top five placing since doing highschool gymnastics.  She has really been working this skill. Congratulations Kelly!

Homecoming Parade

The children always look forward to this parade, it's always like a Halloween candy-fest.  This year did not disappoint. The banded sounded and looked great too.

After five o'clock, we had an idea to go to the park with the whole family (those that weren't working or in Texas.) So went to Cherry Creek State Park and played in the sand and water until the sun went down.

While the school figures out the bus, Mike has been riding Kenny over to school.

Hand in hand

We found these at the Market the other day. I imagined Kelly using them in her bar routine.

Date Night

Mike and I saw a duck in the creek on our date.

Mike got some cuttings of Wooly Thyme from the neighbor.  It is our experiment to add some green to our yard. We'll see if it takes off.

Hair cut

At 8:30 pm last night, I looked at Kenny and noticed he cut a big chunk of his hair with some scissors. Kenny! He was going to look horrible for church. So I called my dad to see if he could give him a buzz. Luckily he said he was an around the clock barber.

Hot and Spicy

Jon told us in his last letter that the Bishops wife makes terrific salsa. She puts two tomatoes, lots of salt and many peppers in a blender and walah! Salsa. I tried, but cut down the peppers and my mouth was burning for an hour. Mike liked it though.

Kelly makes state!

Kelly competed in regionals on Friday and placed in bars and vault and luckily a sixth place all-around. She will compete all the events next Friday at Arvada West High School.

Kenny's great idea

We had a plethora of flies in the house. Kenny got the vacuum and tried to suck them up. It worked pretty well, so I hopped up on the chair and sucked up four flies. Kenny has great ideas.

Something I haven't done since 90's

I got my ears pierced today. I had my ears done on my 11th birthday. Yet, years later they were pierced too low. Even the lightest stud would appear to rip my lobe. In 1991 or so Andrea and I both got a second piercings. I discontinued wearing any in the first place. Why I stopped wearing earrings all together, I'm not sure why. I know I have some on in my wedding photo.
So today, Megan, Kelly and I went dress shopping. As we approached the check out, Kelly saw earrings and asked if she could get her ears pierced. I couldn't think of a reason not to, so I took her to Claire's. Megan decided to get them done too. So I thought, why not.
I know what I want for Christmas!

Date Night

Tonight for date night Mike and I went to Cherry Creek Reservoir. We took our shoes off and went wading in the water and sand.
Last night I was watching gymnastics with Kelly and Megan in the family room. Kenny began yelling through Adam's heating vent. "Mom, mom, moooom! I said what? He then yelled, "I love you!, Mom!" He then proceeded to do this from all the heating vents in the house.  He came downstairs and asked me if I heard him.  So this morning Dad told me he loved me, even more than Kenny. I questioned if he would yell this through the heating vents, ahh, no he would not yell this through the heating vents.... Kenny still wins!

So Girls just want to have fun!  Adam, Mary, Kenny and I were whistled out of the pool because of lightening. So we went to the McDonald's play place. In the last year our McDonalds had a remodel. It appears that only Kenny can really fit in the new play place.
