I asked Megan to clean the kitchen, she said she had to have her bag on her shoulder until the counter had some space for her homework. The hat? I know I like to look great for the dishwasher.

Smart guy

On the seat between Kenny and Patrick was the chocolate cake. Kenny could not reach the cake, so he began to throw the middle seat belt like a fishing line into the cake- and then reeled in the line and licked the frosting off.

Meg was telling us all the other day how her friends name is I rroc! when spelled backwards. Then we turned her name around and found out her true identity of Nag'em! Well, it's better to know now.
Meg at the party with her book, Ipod, and IBC Rootbeer- no nagging- just leave her to her book.

Favorite things

Circa 1975- my dad is driving my younger brother Chris is in the passenger seat, my curly head is behind Chris and my mom is smiling in the middle of the rumble seat.
Sunday- Chris on the left with his daughter Abby standing on the running boards. My older brother Jim, ushering in riders is on the right in the pink shirt.

When I was a child one of my favorite things was to ride in my dad's 1929 Model A Ford. On Sunday, my brother Jim pulled it out and took me and the children out for some rides. The rumble seat is still way fun to ride in.

Mary Jane loves to freeze things lately. She gets random stuff and puts it in the freezer. I hope she leaves the ants outside.

The note

Mike found this on his pillow when he went to bed. I agree?

Not easy being cheesy

We had spaghetti for dinner and Kenny decided to have the cheese for dessert.

Mike and Patrick are going camping with the Boy Scouts on Friday. Patrick had a pack check up at the church tonight, so Kenny decided to check out the packs. He especially liked the sleeping pad. It was hilarious to watch him roll around in it.

Here comes the sun

Kelly was cast as the sun in the 3rd grade class play. She should really shine.

Back by popular demand

Last week I put money in the lunch accounts instead of sending home lunches. I thought kids were tired of PBJ's. After a week of school lunch everyone wanted the home lunches back. (Especially Mary and Kenny who had to eat cereal for breakfast.)

Adam and Mary fell asleep watching The Princess and the Frog movie.

No notes

Who me? I'm just a little boy.
Kelly thought of getting kitchen tongs to fish the books out.
Patrick would bang the keys real hard to get the hammers up so he could reach them.

Jon noticed the piano wouldn't play. Apparently Kenneth Ammon, who else, stuffed all the books from the bench into the piano and it took the other 6 children to fish them out under the hammers. Mary Jane and her small hands rescued the last two books that no one else could get. Now all the music books are residing on the top of the china cupboard.

Pioneer Dream Shawl

I got my shawl in the mail today. It was called the wedding dream shawl but I thought it looked like it would be a perfect pioneer dress cover.

I took Kenny to Wal-Mart and bought him a new pair of shorts and shirt. I then took him into the photo shop to get his picture taken. I took off his outfit and put on the new stuff and then he began to cry and cry and cry. No pictures today. I guess he wanted to wear his pj's in his photo shoot.

Gardening for 2 year olds

I raked out the garden... Kenny throws the dirt out and gets in trouble.
I put holes in the dirt... Kenny makes a Kenny-sized hole in the dirt and gets in trouble.
I put the seed in... Kenny takes the seed out and gets in trouble.
I replant the seed... Kenny throws rocks in and gets in trouble.
I water the beds... Kenny turns off the hose and runs in the house.

He must think that I'm such a gardening hypocrite!

I'm so lucky to be a mom

It was a sweet Mothers' Day.

Potatoes again?

My new favorite meal (or side with an egg) is hash browns. I just boil a bunch of potatoes for 25 minutes, drain and put them in the fridge (the fridge is the key to the goodness). Then the next day or later on in the week, I shred one with the cheese grater and put the shreds with a little oil or Pam in a frying pan on the stove. Just serve with salt and ketchup, it is so good.

Mothers' Day

I was running Jonathan over to his friends house, when I saw an orange sign that said "HUGE" was posted on a fence with an arrow. I followed and ended up at a rummage sale. I saw two chairs and asked Jon to go see how much they were- 25 dollars for the set. I had found my mom her Mothers' Day present!

Even if you use your words, I may not understand

At the ward fiesta Kenny was crying. Meg walked him around. Jonathan walked him around. I held him. Nana gave him candy and he was still upset. He didn't have a fever. Jonathan took him to the car to get his bottle. When he came back in with the still upset boy, Jon said that Kenny yelled every word he knew at Jon in the parking lot. I set the Buddha on my lap and unbuttoned his outfit, checked his diaper and then I took off his shoes. His feet were swollen from being in too tight footwear. Megan then remembered he was pointing to his Pooh shoes and yelling yucky.
Poor thing. He tried to tell us but we couldn't understand. I felt bad.
The next day, he jumped out of his high chair and brought me his plate. I said, "Thank you!" A while later I found him on the counter eating Macaroni and Cheese out of the pan. I guess he has decided if I don't understand him, he'll just take care of it.

Be free

I caught Mary Jane bringing in ants and setting them free in the family room. I asked her to retrieve them and take them outside. She wasn't all that happy about taking her friends outside.

Mudrain won't go away

All that mud rain doesn't seem to wash off in one go.

Kitchen Climbers

Mary (still wearing her dress from last night.)

You would think with this title you're going to see Kenny in the post? Not today (that I took a photo of.)
