You'll like our Sundays

Mary Jane has a new dress. A man behind us at church said she could be the new Shirley Temple- Mike said, only if she could stop cutting her own hair. It'll be at the scalp at this rate.
"I've made like a trillion of these at Scout Camp," said Jon about his omelet. (He's dynamite.)
Megan tells Kelly to start using conditioner. Kelly said she didn't really care.

I will eat eggs and ham.

Adam slept in the box that the vacuum came in.
Patrick made egg sandwiches for the masses.

My three daughters.

It's easy being green

The siders left on Saturday and this portion of the project (sans the dumpster) is finished. I am very happy with the color and the shutters.

In a pickle

Can't do it.

It's sweaty.
I have the perfect grip.

I did it! (After I did the spoon trick.)

The worst part of the econo pickle chip jar is opening it and the best is that it is a plastic jar. Now to put it in the fridge...

Password protected

After I dip my fingers into this water I will try to get into the computer to read my e-mail. What could the password be? KennyAmmon- no, Kennyisababe- no, how about Kennythehandsome, close, Kennyistheking- is it all uppercase?...
Kenny! Get off the laptop right now.
Beth- I wonder why the keyboard is wet?

To: Kenny

Out of the clean laundry, please.Frog stance.

Stealing Megan's New Moon collector's cup.

House update.

He climbed into the sink to play with the water.
We are more than a month until he turns two, yet he's giving us a preview.

Mom wins, Kenny cries

I put Kenny to bed and took a shower. When I got out, I heard Kenny downstairs. Yes, he learned the fine art of avoiding a nap. I stuck him back in the room and put a wash cloth in the door, to jam it shut, and did not remove it until 2:30.

How's the project going?

Before
Siding ripped off.

Today's progress.
It's going to take through next week until the siding is done, then onto painting the garage door, front door and the gutters and then the roof.

Kenny was taking a nap on Thursday and I heard him suddenly start screaming- I went into his room to find him standing in his crib staring out the window at a worker. His room is the 2nd story right bedroom, he's not used to people walking by or pounding on the wall during naptime. (When everyone is home he may be used to it.)

Plastic

Even though he gets in trouble for taking the plastic off the fire place everyday, he continues to do so. Mike makes him eggs even if he bothers the plastic- he really likes our Kenny.

Not old

but New Moon.

Mike and I went and saw the movie at 10 am. I'm not the huge Twilight fan (not like my Potter obsession) but with Ken and Mary over at my mom and dad's it was a fun date morning before Mike had to be at work.

Waiting

Forgotten lunches.
Mary is waiting for Hoppa to pick her up in about 3 hours.

I called my mom to find out if she has everything ready for Kenny and Mary's sleep over tonight. I told her that Jon and Meg forgot their lunches and I was going to let them go hungry (tough love)- she is now worried they may resort to lunch thievery.
Jon and Meg: Choose the right!

Colors

The hail storm that hit the area in June, left us with insurance money to get a new roof and new siding. I was excited that we would get to change the color of the house from white to ? Today we picked the colors- Green and Cream. After the sider left, Mike pointed out that I picked the same colors of my blog. I know what I like? What comes next, a duck pond in the front yard, a purple door or a duck emblem above the front window? Oh dear, I mean oh duck.

Lunches

Megan is making the lunches for all the school kids (5) and Mary Jane who insists on a lunch too. Kenny eats what Mary leaves at the table- see the pudding post.

The drama at the third grade hall is that someone has been stealing goodies out of lunch boxes, Kelly's lunch has been hit twice. So she put a note in her lunch bag alerting the thief that she only has vegetables in her lunch. This seemed to stop the perp today (and the uncooked Brussels sprouts in a Ziploc bag readily waiting the thief to take mistakenly.)

OJ

Mary drank a half filling and has a super full bladder.
Mary's glass and Daddy's glass

As we didn't run the dishwasher last night, or load it for that matter, we didn't have any glasses to drink orange juice with at lunch. Mike found a jelly sized Mason jar and filled it with OJ. Mary watched and came out of the kitchen with a quart sized Kerr jar and filled it more than half full.

Divine Nature

For Megan's Divine Nature project she watched over Kenny for a full day. To document this, she made a poster for tonight's presentation. She showed it to Kenny and he didn't have much to say about it.

Allowance

Mike was giving the kids their allowance and was helping them budget their money. Kenny was the only one who was upset when it was his turn.

Chocolate pudding

The spoon didn't dish it fast enough.

Stroller Park

Mike and I have a route we like to walk lately that goes right past this skate park. The kids on skateboards get annoyed when we run the strollers around their turf. Oh well.

Sunday morning

It's ten o'clock and we will be leaving for church in a half hour. What is everyone doing?
Mike and Beth urge everyone to eat something, because the treat in the diaper bag is for Kenny.

Jon finds his scriptures and book that Kenny hid.

Patrick and Adam are in such a hurry to eat cereal they leave the chairs on the table from the last sweeping.
Megan finds a jacket that matches her bag.
Kenny looks through the diaper bag so he will get bored at church and have to be taken into the hall.
Kelly and Mary find their matching outfits.

Cleaning crew

Abby and Jonathan
Chris still has a house to unpack. Moving is so tiring.
Grace finds that it's easier to clean the shower with the water on. (It's just cold when you go out to the car.)

Patrick combines his peanut butter jelly sandwiches with jelly in the middle.

Jonathan, Patrick and I helped my brother Chris clean his old apartment today ( I hope he gets his whole deposit back). He and his girls moved to a bigger apartment. We had a crew of 6 (half of them under the age of 10. It took us 2 1/2 hours- not bad. Megan stayed home to watch the little kids- I thought they would get in the way more than they would help. Kenny would have wanted to help Grace clean the shower.

Tired of the same old thing

Ground sausage, onion, celery, bell pepper on a baked delicata squash . (All for 9 points, oh yeah that's info for the other blog). The recipe called for 1/3 cup of sour cream but that would be too good. I'm getting tired of eating baked chicken so here's something different. Yes, this was lunch and the Kenny and Mary ate leftover goulash- but Kenny did sit on Mike's lap and try some bites. The other children wouldn't have tried the squash- so why waste such a yummy treat?

No popcorn?

Get a new microwave: have a box lunch with a side of Sesame Street.
