Ever since we got a GPS unit, Mike has wanted to go Geo Caching. There is a web site where you can get GPS coordinates near your location (or far away) and then you go the coordinates and find a little "prize" and leave a "prize" for the next person. Mike, Mary and Megan went on the hunt this afternoon. Mary was so excited to get a little plastic dog and a sticker. He left a little toy inside the hidden
tupperware container inside a bush. Mary kept saying she got a
geo.

Sounds like a fun outing. Is this the same kind of GPS that you use to navigate the car?
ReplyDeleteYes. But ours is not that fancy. It is a handheld more for camping. I bought it as a spedometer replacement because I did not want to pay a mechanic $250-300 to replace broken spedmeter cable in the Honda. The mileage on the Honday as been 264875.4 since 7/7/07 when it broke. Who know how many miles it has on it anymore? But, it still runs great. It is 19 years old now and still gets 39-42 miles to the gallon. I can't bear to part with it.
