Cutter!

While I was chatting with gals I went to high school with, Mary and the other kids were playing on a jumping castle thing that had a slide. Megan came to me to report that Mary was cutting in line. There were other kids yelling, "Cutter, cutter, cutter, cutter!" at her. I told Megan to quickly go down to the jumper and remove her name tag so no one would know that she was mine. Later, I asked her if she was cutting in line and she said, "No."

FHE

I told the children they could have a candy bar for every requirement that they sign off in their Duty to God, Primary, or Young Womens' book. The participation at family home evening has been overwhelming: Patrick volunteered to lead the song- and a specific one so he could check off two things. Kelly gave the lesson on the first vision- to check one of hers off. Jon and Meg fought over giving the lesson and scripture. I need to go back to Wal-Mart tomorrow and buy another box of 25 candy bars.

Reunion

Today was my 20th high school reunion family picnic.
Do you remember me? I was the shy girl that drove the hot pink car. I probably know most of you because I was on the yearbook staff. And as I introduced myself, it felt odd to ask, "So what have you been doing for the last 20 years?" Oh me, here are my 7 children.

Here's my locker. (Not really but a great facsimile.) The older kids kept trying to find one that "popped" open.

We were tired and ready to go home by the time I got warmed up to go up to people and say hi. Oh well, what's another ten years?

No! It's my penguin!

Mary discovered that she wants a turn on the computer too. She plays Club Penguin. Even if she asks for help, be wary of touching the keyboard because she yells at you.

New Dishwasher

Otherwise known as Mike.
It has been a constant battle of the dishwasher vs. the family. The machine has not cleaned very well from the start, it threw food particles over all the dishes and deep inside the glasses. I filled the jetclean dispenser everyday and have had fits with the wet dry vac. and the filter. Monday was the last straw- I was running the dishwasher empty and there was water shooting out the door. I put a cake pan under the leak and had to empty it twice.

The brand new one came today but we will have to wash by hand until Mike can install it.

Oral fixation

Kenny will take any toothbrush or toothpaste that he can reach (Aqua Fresh Boy). To go with that obsession he is now reading The Whole Body Dentistry book.
