Clean little lies?

Mike told me the hometeachers were coming at 6 pm tonight. After we cleaned the house, he informs me that would be next week! (But the house looks much better...)

    Sometimes I tell the kids someone's coming over just so they will clean up.

    Is that wrong?

    I always go into a house cleaning frenzy when company comes over. Greg always make some wise crack like "We should have people come over more often."
