At least once a day, the children get assigned a job. Today, Patrick washed the kitchen cupboard fronts and mopped the kitchen floor, Jon swept and mopped the dining/living room, Megan sort and put away laundry, and Kelly cleaned the kids bathroom and washed the glass on the family room doors.
I don't typically pay for pick-a-jobs except that they "get to live here." Adam turned 5 in July so he is in pick-a-job training. I cannot set him loose on the kitchen or bathrooms. Right now he is learning to sweep and pick up stuff. The kids say, "Poor Kenny, he'll have to do all the jobs when everyone grows up!"
